A MOTOR-CAR containing a man and a woman was wrecked at a level crossing at Ilallam, on the Dandenong line. Mrs Marie Nugent, fifty, of H'allam, and Arthur O’Leary, twenty-five, Gardenvalc, were killed. A fast milk train crashed into the car, the driver of which thought he would be able to clear the crossing, but misjudged the train’s pace.—Australian Press Association. A fatal level crossing accident occurred near the Midland Junction when a train from Perth collided with a car, killing Henry Russell, of Mundaring, a storekeeper, and his wife, Margaret Russell.
