The death occurred recently of M. William Ditford. Mr Ditford. who was born in London in 1857. catne to New Zealand in the Jvanhoe in 1864. when his parents settled in Christchurch. After working in a flax mill at Tin Tapu. and being employed by Mr John J Brightling for fourteen 'cars, Mr Hit t ford started his own business Hr was a member of the vestrv of bt Saviour's Church.
