M.P’S PREPARE TO TREAD VERBAL MAZES.
BY SINBAD. The orators of Parliament are doubtless polishing their phrases. To-morrow they will all be bent on treading various verbal mazes, for every budding Cicero of this young democratic nation, his paces will contrive to show as he considers legislation. The task confronting Gordon Coates must fill him with come apprehension. lie must control his party votes and sternly stifle all dissension. And since the time is not so far when he must face a fresh election, no factions must he ever jar unless lie likes to court rejection. But let's leave Gordon to his fate and turn instead to Mr Sidey, his Daylight-Saving measure great has ever been his prize. lie went very close to it last year and almost put the project over, so to the battle with a cheer he comes and hopes to be in clover. All suortine folk of every kind wish him success in his endeavour. So let them falling in J liehind chant “ Sidev and his Bill j for Ever!”
