MEMBERS DON’T WANT ELECTION IN N.S.W. YET.

CHAOTIC STATE OF ROLLS URGED AS REASON FOR POSTPONEMENT OF HOUR. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. SYDNEY, November 24. Although the members of the Assembly regard it as an established fact that an appeal will be made to the country within four months they are still hopeful that something may happen to prevent it. The chaotic state of the rolls consequent on the change over to the new electoral system is being urged as a reason for postponing the appeal to the country, but it is anticipated that Mr Loughlin will adhere to his determination to enforce an appeal to the electors. Mr Loughlin has announced that unless the Premier honoured his promise to hold the elections within four months the Government would sustain defeat on the floor of the House at the first opportunity. He added that reconciliation was impossible. If there was any delay when the House met on Monday in giving effect to the Premier’s promises he and his followers would take immediate action.
