An illustrated lecture will be given by Professor Cyril R. Knight, the new-ly-appointed Professor of Architecture at the Auckland University, in the lecture hall at the Public Library, at eight o’clock this evening. The subject will be “The Training of an Architect.” All interested are cordially invited to attend. Admission will be free. At the annual meeting of the Industrial Association last night Mr J. D. Hall referred to the possibility of the organisation of a winter show in Christchurch. He stated that such shows were held with success ‘in other centres and he expressed the opinion that if farmers’ organisations could cooperate with the industrialists there should be every chance of success in Christchurch.
