WEDDING.

POTTINGER—MARCH. Amid a profusion of beautiful flowers a wedding was celebrated at St Andrew's Church yesterday afternoon, when Ida Mary, second daugb of Mr and Mrs E. P. March, Riccarton Road, was married to John Morrison, y'oungest son of the late Mr and Mrs R. J. Pottinger, of Christchurch. The bride was given away by' her father, and attended by’ one bridesmaid. her sister, Miss Bessie March, and by a tiny flower-girl, her niece. Betty' Swanev. Mr John Graham, the bridegroom’s cousin, was best man. Miss March’s attractive wedding frock was of ivory touraine, patterned in motif design, with delicate gold embroideries. It was made with a long sleeveless bodice slightly pouched at the low waist, where it was attached to a circular skirt, and the v-shaped neck was outlined back and front with gold ribbon, which finished in a small bow at the waist. Her dainty' veil of soft net was edged with fine embroideries and tiny' scallops, and was arranged with a frill at the back caught with small gold leaves and touches of orange blossom, and the touch of gold in her frock was emphasised by the gold-shaded blooms in her bouquet. The maid was in a becoming frock of deep bqige marocain, with a long bodice falling in straight lines to a circular flounce at the foot, and relieved with a large bow falling softly at one side. Her hat of deep cyclamen straw was banded with petunia velvet, finished with a rucked ornament, and flowers to tone, relieved with bronze touches composed her bouquet. The frock of the diminutive flower-girl was of shell pink crepe de chine, quaintly' flared with ecru lace, and she carried a Victorian posy'.

A reception was subsequently held by' the bride’s parents, at the Winter Garden, where the lounge and tables were decked with pink and mauve flowers. Mrs March wore a model gown of black silk marocain, fashioned with an over-skirt, and with sleeves to the wrist. The low waist was defined with a finely-pleated band, and a ceinture of beaded embroidery in fuchsia arid blue colouring,' the. same embroidery appearing as a narrow panel at one side of the corsage at the back. Her black hat was trimmed with corded ribbon, and the flowers in her bouquet toned with the colouring of her frock. The bride’s travelling frock was Havana brown marocain x made on becoming lines, with . long sleeves, and narrow bands of vivid. embroidery as a border to the skirt. She also wore a smartly-tailored coat small hat of novelty straw to tone, with a brim of bro%n velvet.
