DANCING REVUE.
AlisseJ, Madeline Vyner and Iris Alontgoiaery have prepared a very attractive ’programme for their dancing revue next week. Their revues in the past have shown how delightfully the resources- of the ballet can be drawn upon for the wordless telling of a pretty story.. In the coming revue there are two ballets of much interest —“ In Cherry Blossom Land,” which is a bright lit Lie Chinese fantasia, with Misses' Vyner and Montgomery and Irene Stone as the principal dancers, a Garden Ballet, and an Indian dramatic ballet “ Haimwawa,” framed upon Coleridge Taylor’s “ Hiawatha ” music in which Mr P'rank Morrison will sing. The remainder of the programme is very varied, and includes Russian, Spanish, Dutch and Hungarian dances, dances eccentric and grotesque, and acrobatic, a March Alilitaire, a Mazurka set. and solo dances and duets. The orchestra, which is led by Mrs Roy Twyneham, will give some interesting modern and classical music—including Moskowski, Chaminade, Schubert, Drigo, Chopin, Gounod, Paderewski, Brahms, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Weber. The first performance will be given on Thursday evening of next week, in the Caledonian Hall, and there will be a matinee on Saturday next.
