(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, November 20. New Political Party. It is reported that steps are being taken to form a new political party in New Zealand. The platform that is discussed has negative rather than positive planks for the party is said to owe its origin to the antipathy of its promoters and their friends to the 44 control ” legislation of the Government by Orders-in-Council and to the continuance in force of certain war regulations. Good Dairying Season. The favourable nature of the season for dairying is reflected in the fortnightly returns of produce handled by the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company. From July 1 until last Wednesday 539,545 boxes of butter and 44,195 crates of cheese have been received, compared with 477,407 boxes and 40,972 crates for the corresponding period last year. The increases are 62,138 boxes of butter and 3223 crates of cheese. The figures are more striking when they are reduced to butter fat equivalent. The season’s production amounts to no less than 28,010,3151 b of butter fat. as compared with 24.896,4491 b for the corresponding period of 1925, an increase of 3.113,5661 b. Of this season’s total 25,355,6151 b of butter fat has been used in the manufacture of butter, compared with 22.438,1291 b last year. The cheese manufactured absorbed 2,651.70011# this year and 2,458.3201 b last year. Bicycle Causes Death. Through being knocked down by a bicycle early last evening Samuel Jones, aged fifty-four, of Otahuhu, was admitted to Auckland Hospital unconscious. An operation was performed but the man died at six o’clock this morning. He was crossing the mam street of Otahuhu on his way to a euchre party when the accident occur red. A Daring Robbery.

Boys Before Court. Two boys, aged eleven and twelve, appeared in the Children’s Court this morning on twenty-one charges of breaking and entering and theft of £2B. The senior-detective said the offences consisted of breaking into offices and rifling the drawers. The younger boy was not normal and should, be placed under control. An adjournment was granted for a fortnight in the case of the elder boy with a view to his mother placing him in a Presbyterian home. Tb® Guy C. Goss. After serving as a training ship for the Calliope troop of Sea Scouts during the Christmas holidays, the former American barque Guy C. Goss, which was arrested for debt in March last, and auctioned to Messrs Carr, Pount ney and Co. for £3BO, is to be towed to Wharekawa, Firth of Thames, where she will be beached for use in connection with the owners’ shingle business The shingle workers will live in the quarters formerly occupied by the crew.
