THE VOTE OF THE BRITISH MINERS.
FUTURE POLICY RESTS WITH CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received November 19. 12.35 pm ) LONDON, November 18. It is estimated that the unexpected swing of the miners’ vote will result in 100.000 against the proposal.-. Mr Cook declared that the future policy of the miners rested entirely with the delegates’ conference on Friday. He said that the only thing certain was that the miners had overwhelmingly rejected the proposal.-. The miners’ delegates have returned from the coalfields. It is known that no recommendation will be made at to-morrow’s conference, which is therefore free to pursue its own course.
