HEAVY LOSS DUE TO FOREST FIRES.

Extensive bush fires in the Narromine district devastated thousands of acres of grass country and destroyed 300 acres of splendid wheat crop and 200 tons of hay. The fires also caused considerable damage to grass country in the Mudgee district and on the north coast.
