FULLER’S STAGES “MAMMA’S BOY.”
VARIETY TURNS KEEP CROWD ENTERTAINED.
There is a great deal of real entertainment to be found in the programme at Fuller’s Opera House this week. Tom Rees, a comedy musician, tells some good stories and shows that he is an adept on various instruments. A quarter of an hour’s good singing is given by Frank Foster and Robert Needham, and Walter Vernon,..’ the popular ventriloquist, provides a new programme with the aid of his doll, Ginger. Topical verses of a humorous nature are provided by Drew and Romaine, who uphold their reputation for originality. The second portion of the programme is in the hands of Phil Smith and his musical comedy company, who stage a bright revue entitled “ Mamma's Boy.” Phil Smith and Xat Hanley are the principals, and they manage to keep the plot going in a pleasing manner. They are assisted by a talented company, who all help to make the production a success.
