YOUTH OF 17 SENT TO GAOL.

YOUNG JOY-RIDERS ARE BEFORE COURT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 22. Two of three youths, arrested in Helensville after a joy ride in a motor-car belonging to W. j. Brien, were before the Police Court to-day. Mr Poynton, S.M., sentenced Ronald Eric Phomister, aged 17, to three months’ imprisonment, and Leslie Charles Rose, aged 17, to three 3-ears’ probation. The other member of the trio will be charged before the Children’s Court.
