“SON OF HIS FATHER” AT THE CRYSTAL

FASCINATING ROMANCE OF PICTURESQUE WEST. Modern methods and ideas have not altogether blotted out the old-time romance of the West. It still has a strange fascination not only in fiction, but also in real life. There is as much romance in it now as there ever was. and life there retains its picturesque features. This was demonstrated at Greater Crystal Palace last night, when the magnificent wild country of the. West provided a setting for an excellent picture story, “A Son of his Father.” containing every requisite to please patrons of picture theatres. Greater Crystal Palace last night supported “ A Son of his Father ” with “ The Woman who Obeyed." This is a British picture, produced in British studios, with British players and a setting in England. The theme undoubtedly has been taken from real life. In the selection of the players, as well as in the setting and the directing, care has been taken to make this problem story all it should be from the picture’s point of view. The Symphony Orchestra’s programme was bright and interesting.
