GRAND HAS GREAT SPORTING PICTURE.
MARMONT STARS IN SECOND FEATURE. “ Sporting. Life." which heads the current programme at the Grand Theatre, is an excellent photoplay -well played and admirably mounted. It is brimful of action, which keeps one on tenterhooks throughout, and leaves one a little surprised when it is all over that, after all, it was only a picture. It is a story with a theme that grips, a story as far removed from the ordinary type of picture plot as the Poles. “ Daddy’s Gone A-Hunting ” is the title of the second feature, in which Percy Marmont, star of innumerable screen successes, and beautiful Alice Joyce fill the principal roles. It is a picture well worthy of these clever young people. It has every essential quality of the first-class motion picture, and would be quite worthy of a place as the leading feature on any bill. Well produced, acted by a talented cast and photographed as pictures should be photographed, it is altogether a motion picture gem. An admirable musical programme is supplied by the Grand Orchestra.
