An indication that diffioultiee have arisen in tho selection of an Association team for Australia is conveyed in a circular by the international selection committee to all clubs in direct membership ■with the Football Association, stating that it is most desirous of sending a favourable response to the invitation for a team to tour Australasia. The circular sals:— ! “Indeed, we feel that loyalty compels us j ruske every effort to meet the wishes | of the colonies. The difficulty so far has ! been tho inability of players to be absent from England for six months. The team must be of such strength that it will up- , hold the beet traditions of the Mother Country. We will be glad if you will again consider the possibility of one or more of your players being able to under I take the tonr.
