HOOD AND REPULSE.

COULD BE BERTHED AT LYTTELTON. Commenting this morning on the de cision that the battle cruisers Hood and Repulse shall not visit Lyttelton. Mr Cyrus R. J. Williams, engineer and secretary to tlie Lyttelton Harbour Board, stated that both vessels could be berthed at Lyttelton. Lyttelton could take vessels drawing up to 32ft of water. Mr Williams said, and be did not think the Hood drew more than that. He pointed out that H.M.S. Renown was berthed at Lyttelton without any difficulty.
