GREAT EASTERN FAIR.
TO-DAY AND TO-MORROW. The Great Eastern Fair being conducted at the King Edward Barracks in aid of the Avonside Church will be continued to-day and to-morrow. This evening and to-morrow night a special programme of dancing .and other items will bo given. Miss M/Donakl's pupils will give a very fine exhibition of fancy dancing. “The Dear Little Chicadecs ” will ho performed bv the AN nr wick’ School children. Mrs Meredith has organised a beautiful floral and fairy dance. In each of these dances over thirty children take part. The .grand march by 100 ladies each carrying a Chinese lantern is a spectacle in itself well worth seeing. A flashlight photograph of the scene will he taken to-night. The usual sales in connection with the eighteen stalls, fairy wells, bran tubs, side shows, and competitions will proceed as usual afternoon and even-
