ORIGIN A MYSTERY. (Per Press ’Association-.) WELLINGTON, May 4. The origin of tlie fire in the Y.W.C.A. Hostel in Macdonald Create nt re me ins a mystery. The victim, Miss Gourlv, arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa only yesterday morning, and was to have proceeded this morning to her destination, which at present is unknown. Immigrants who arrived by the Rotorua to-day were to have been accommodated at the hostel to-night, but the authorities state that accommodation will now be found for them Great difficultv in reaching the seat •»:' the fire was experienced by the brigade, and as the nearest wate v hydrant is located in Wellington Terrace, a considerable length of hose vas required, causing delay.
