PATIENT 1000 MILES FROM DOCTOR. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 4. The value of wireless on ships has l,cen once more demonstrated. While the limiaroa. which arrived •a Wellington vestevdav. was on her x y from Sydney, she received a wire-h-ss message from the steamer A'odonga on Tuesday night stating that one of the passengers was seriously ill, and there was no doctor on board The surgeon of the Ulimaroa then ~-nt instructions by wireless. At the time of the incident, the Wodonga was off tlie Queensland coast, 1000 miles from the ’Ulimaroa.
