Mr J. ('. Campbell (Dunedin) is staying at the Clarendon. Mr Claude Haigh has arrived in Christchurch to take over the managership of the Liberty Theatre. Mr A. G. Cate (Wellington) and Mr ; H G Griffith* (Wellington) arrived • from the south last nig,.t and are J staying at Warner’s. I Mr John M’Gregor (Melbourne) ar- ! rived from the south last night and is | staying at Warner’s. Among the guests at Warner’s are Messrs B. Hickman (Melbourne), H. le Pine (Wellington) and J. H. Jefferd (Hawke’s Bay). Sir Francis Dillon. Bell has sailed from London for America, en route for New Zealand. His Honor Mr Justice Chapman ar rived from the north this morning and commenced the hearing of civil cases in the Supreme Court to-day. Guest* at the Clarendon Hotel include Messrs F. IC. Ivetsehman and E. W. Sharp (Auckland), and S. R. Martin and J. Campbell (Dunedin). His Honor Mr Justice Adams arrived in Christchurch from the north to-day He will go on to Timaru for the open- | ing of the Supreme Court session «net\* on Tuesday next.
