SWIMMING.
NORTH BEACH SURF CLUB. The sixth annual report of the North Heaoh Surf Bathing and Life Saving Club states that the club is in a satisfactory position in regard t-o finance, and meinliorship. The club hud been very successful in the inter-club competition, having won the Ray Blank Cup, and being narrowly beaten in the two other competitions. Rescues in the surf had been performed by Messrs P. G. Bamford. A. Brand. W. L. Gill, . Hall, A. Henry, L. Shudder ana ; A. B. Truscott. Seventy-five new members had been elected during the season, and the roll now stood at 317. The financial statement shows that ther.": is a credit balance of £33 6a lOd, and that £B6 15s 2d had been paid off the'bank overdraft. The assets exceeded the liabilities by £502 15s 4d. The annual meeting will be held in the club pavilion on Saturday evening.
