CHARGES OF THEFT.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 2. At the Police Court William C..mwas charged with the theft of goods valued at £450, from the wharf sheds. Tt was stated that he was a man of good character, add had assisted'io recover a lar/re amount of tho stolen "cods. He was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Lieutenant- William Reeve, of the New Zealand Forces, admitted the theft of stores. Tt was stated that he had control of £30,000 worth of scoods. He bore a stood character, and was in. ill-health. Reeve was sentenced to twelve months’ probation. He was ordered to pay costs, and £37 to the person who innocently bought some of the stolen property.
