Sir Ernest Cassel has given £220,000 to found and endow a sanatorium at Benshurst for the treatment of neurasthenia and nervous disorders due to the stress of modern life. It is intended for those of the educated classes, who are unable to meet tho expenses of a nursing home; patients will contribute towards the maintenance of tho sanatorium. Sir Ernest gave £500.000 for education in 1919, and £500,C00 to hospitals for medical research, in memory of King Edward and of his own daughter, Mrs Wilfred Ashley.
