Ur Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. * Australian and N.Z. Cable Ass.v mtion. (Received May 3, 2.25 p.m.) LONDON, May 2. The “Daily Chronicle’s*’ Berlin correspondent states that pressure is being brought to bear on the Government to modify their attitude regarding reparations.* The industrial magnates at last are thoroughly alarmed, and they now realise that the Entente means what it says, and they fear to find their businesses under foreign control. “I have reason to believe,” he says, “that the Government will not resist the magnates’ influence, but will give way to the Allies' ultimatum. The newspapers are warning the public against putting their faith in an idea that the Allies are disunited.”
