THE TRAM SMASH.
£2OOO COMPENSATION. PAID INTO SUPREME COURT The Christchurch Tramway Board has paid into the Supreme Court the sum or £2OOO as compensation to the widow and family of William S. Bmnton. who was killed in the tram smash on the Perry Road near the Heathcote Bridge. The Supreme Court will be asked to give directions as to the disposal of the amount.
