SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
SYDENHAM The monthly -meeting of the Svdenha-m bc-hcol Committee was held on Wednesday; present Messrs Butterfield (chairman), M Ivcou, laylor, Duncan, Slater, Frayle, 1' richer and Mrs Loncy. The head master s report showed tho attendance as followsNumber on roll-boys 539 and girls 500; total 1039. Admitted during term—boys 28 mm girls it; total 42. Left—boys 13 and girls 10; total 23. Average attendance—S99, The head master and stuff disapproved of tho proposal to bold a school concert, tho feeling being that if it is necessary to "raise funds they should be obtained (If by Government grant; (2) by direct- appeal to the parents; or (3) by a sale of work. It was agreed to hold a jumble sale at an early date. Miss Bean, assistant, was granted leave of absence ou account, of sickness. Accounts passed for payment amounted to 4)2-5 Os lOd.
