At a dinner, Mr H. -L Greedy, 0.8., (.ho private secretary to the Minister lor War, told the following anecdote. “ A business man,” lie related, “ bought a number of those ‘ Do-it-nowj signs, and hung them around his office with (ho hope of smartening up his staff. He succeeded. Within a week tho cashier had absconded with a thousand pounds, tho manager had eloped with the typist, and three- clerks had demanded increased salaries.”
