Archdeacon Elisor arrived from th» north this morning. Dr and Mrs Thaoker were passengers by tho ferry Btaamier to-day. Mr G. Witty, M.P., arrived from Wellington to-day. Sir James Carroll is visiting Christchurch. He will return to Wellington on Saturday evening. Lieutenant Douglas Gifford Mooro, of Wanganui, who has just returnied from the front, has been in town for a. few diays. " staying at 136, Holly Road.
