Mr Kestcven urged that tho match should bo played. H the footballers had any consideration for the sport thoy would play desnite the fact that races would be held. Mr Fuller said that the Mem-alp team was quile willing to play next Saturday. It was decided that the match should be played on Saturday, oa the Christchurch ground. On Mr Hervev's suggestion, it was decide to net up a sub-committee to look after tha gato money and other financial matters at futr.ro football matches. The secretary, treasurer and Mr M'Cnlly were appointed the committee. BevanBrown (Boys' High School), and _ R. ,T. Thompson (secretary of the Boys' Hieh. School Sports Committee) thanking ih« union for its donation of £ls to each of the two schools. The chairman said that the recent Lin-wood-Marists match was a. fine display of Rucby, and both teams worn to bo «m< gratulatcd. .
