Anchor (0) had a byo. Tho winners are:—Star of Linwood 1. City of Christchurch. 2. Anchor •and Mistlotoo will play off for the third and fourth prizes. Tho Loyal Benevolent Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., met on Monday night, N.G., Brother W. Eastcrbrook presiding over a good attendance. Prov. Grand Master Brother W. R. Oahngan and Prov. C.S. Brother J. 'J'. Archbold wero «,ls-o present. 'Hug sick visitors reported five members on tho fund. Two death certificates worj received, and funeral claims passed accordingly An application for member's surplus bonus wns received. The question with retard to the management fund and contributions were discussed. P.G. Brother A. F. W. J aims .submitted several resolutions, including tho striking' of a levy of 6d p«ir quarto; - per member for the extinction of tho deficiency on the management fund; and also tho following: "That a special levy of Is per quarter be struck on all members of tlv> Lodge, except war membor.i, to help to provide payment of war members' contributions, the first levy to be collected at tho end of the present quarter, and to bo continued for a minimum period of twelve months, and such further period as shall bo deemed necessary by tho Lodge." Tlip. motions wore approved nnd adopted unanimouHly. A motion in regard to the medical aid fund, was held over, pending other arrangements It was decided to acquire- pome more hooks of rules. A hearty voto of thanks was accorded "the District Officers for their attendance nnd the valuable assistance rendered to tho' Lodge. The receipts for tho evening- wore £IC lis 9d.
