Mr North said that all were interested in tho work of the young people. The .subject of the evening discourse was from I. Corinthians, -<vi, 13, '• Quit ye like men." In a simpler form the text, said Mr North, was " Be Manly." and the phrase applied to man and woman. The trend of the address was in regard to the establishment of x character for the. fulfilment of tlio Divine Will. Mr North spoke of the glories of the young body and also of its perils, emphasising the point that God demanded the development of healthy bodies and pure minds that the full powers of manhood and womanhood may be exercised in world progress. Me urged the young people to face the world and its troubles bravely, to fight against difficulties, and never to nurse despair. Mr North referred to the great characters of Captain Scott, David Livingstone, and others and urged all young people, to mould their lives on the manly qualities exhibited by those men. He reminded them that the body was Clod's handicraft, and that the Almighty exacted a terrible revenge for its misuse.
