POSITION EAST OF MONCTIY IMPROVED. Lustralia.n »nd K.Z. Cable Association and Keuter. LONDON. July 17. Sir Douglas Haig reports:- We somewhat improved our position east of Monchy le Preux. Despite thick elouds and a strong wind, our aeroplanes did a great deal of successful work yesterday, in conjunction with the, artillory, and also bombed various points behind the enemy's lines. Then* -were many air fights, in which wo brought down six and drove down three machines. Hone of ours is missing.
