QUEEN'S THEATRE.

The new programme presented at Hie Queen's Theatro yesterday was varied and interesting. The scenic film, " Course of the Doubs," was beautifully coloured, and the scenes along the course of this splendid river, over cataracts, through gorges and by quiet villages, were welF worth seeing. Then the latest " Budgets." wero of great interest. Tho subjects shown included the visit of the .King of Greece and his famous Prime Minister to Crete when tho island wns proclaimed a Greek possession, steeplechasing at _ Galweek, visit of tho Cr.ar to an exhibition, floods in Texas, a football match, review of French troops, and labour troubles on the Rand. The view of the labour troubles allowed how the constables used their batons to quell a riot, 'lho programme contained several good dramas. "Tho Stronger Sex" was well acted, and gripped tho audiences. It dealt with an adventuress, and the plot was a. very natural one. In '' The Pride of Battery B," a story of the Civil War, tho sentiment was a littlo forced, but the film was very popular with tho audiences. Tho principal drama, "The Outlaw," was very intense throughout. The plot was a good one and tho acting was splendid, and the natural rugged scenery gayo to tho film more than a touch of reality. Tho story told of the devotion of a girl to her outlaw father, and how sho revenged his death on tho traitor who I accepted their hospitality and then betrayed them. Tho comic items were not of averago merit, and the humour of "Willies and a Merry Widow" was not likely to appeal to British audiences. I'o-clay tho programme will bo repeated, and in addition two extra films will bo screened during the afternoon, " The Flower of tho Ranch " and " A Girl of tho West."
