Half a mile, from homo Selected was in front, but he broke a furlong further on and Sweet Agnes beat him by four, lengths, Ariadne being forty yards away third. Time—Smin 44 l-sseo. Bushranger went off with a big lead at tiro start, and at the end of hcJf■ a rnilo. he was well clear of March Hare, with Treasure Seeker and Craibwood next. There was no change in the order for the nest six furlongs, but half- a mile from home TreasureSeeker joined Bushranger in the lead. After racing together, for a furlong Trsasuro. Seeker gradually drew out, and turning for home be was showing out clear, but still under pressure. Bushranger was far from done, however, and, finishing, very strongly, beat Treasure Seeker home by over a length. Herrick) 0 Lord Heathcote and Persuader were left at the post, while Bright got off badlv and was i pulled up, Ravenschild, Gold Bell and Little Tib also losing ground at the start. Schoolgirl went off in front, followed bv St Swithin, Country Belle and Manderene. * At the end of half a mile Schoolgirl and Country Belle were two lengths clear oi Sfc-Swithin. with Manderene three lengths away, ten lengths in front of Red Mao and Emmeline. Two furlongs further on Schoolgirl was showing out a length from Country Belle, who was showing out a length from Countrv Belle, who was six lengths in front of Manderene. Going down the back Manderene moved up fast, and entering the last lap he was just behind Schoolgirl, with Country Belle eight lengths away, closely followed by Emmeline and Red Mac, with Adonis, Denver Huon' and King Cole next. Three furlongs from home Manderene went to the front, while Emmeline continued to close up. Manderene was well clear at the entrance to the straight, and, going on, he won by four lengths" from Emmeline, who was a similar distance in front of Schoolgirl, with Country Belle close up. followed by Red Mac, Denver Huon and King Cole. First Alarm was the first to show out, followed by Frandocia and Red Ribbon, but they were soon joined by Wallace Junior, who led past the stand, just clear of Reel Ribbon, First Alarm and Frnndocia, while after a good gap came Millwood. Crown Prince, Little Arthur, Ruby S. and Miss Florrie C. Going down the back Wallace Junior was leading Red Ribbon and Frandocia. by a- length, -with the second division six lengths away. A little further on Frandocia moved up, and entering the last lap he was six lengths ir. front of Red Ribbon and Wallace Junior, with Millwood and Crown Prince at the head of the others and Ruby S. and Submarine going up fast. Half a mile from home Buby S. had drawn' out a ! little from Submarine, who was joined bv i Medallion. At the entrance to the straight i Frandocia was still well clear, while Ruby's, j was second, with Submarine in hot pursuit, j Frandocia held his place to the end and won ! by twelve lengths from Submarine, who beat ; Ruby S. comfortably by a length, with the j others, easing up, some distance away, headed I by Wallaces Junior, Medallion and Red Rib- ! bon. Adventuress left her feet a liltlo further on. Passing the stand Mahomet was two lengths clear of Yerax, with Master Raymond ten ieufrtlis away, followed by Kelso, Michael Galindo and Adventuress. At the end of sir furlongs Veras had taken charge, just clear of Mahomet, with R-osnlie moving up fast. Starting on the last lap Rosalie, joined Yerax in tho lead, two lengths in front of Mahomet, wifn Michael Galindo and Muricata next. Running out of the straight Rosalie lost her place, while Michael Gniiudo put in ft last run, followed closely by Muricata.
