POULTRY, PIGEON AND CANARY ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the South Island Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association was held in the rooms of the Christchurch Poultry Club last ovening. Mr E. J. Ross, president, occupied the chair, and the following delegates were present:—Messrs T. H? Jones (Otago Game Foavl Club), w! Amos (Ashburton), George E. Jeffreys (Tapanui), H. Beardsloy (Christchurch Poultry Club), A. Menzies (Oamaru), J. W. Bishop (North Canterbury), R. C Wells (Christchurch Canary Club), F. Dacre (Pieton), A. Walker (Granity). J M. M'Lean (United Pigeon Fanciers' Club) and N .rearco (Kaitangata). The newly-formed Kaitangata Poultry Club applied to be affiliated, aud the request was granted. The annual report detailed the work of the Council during the year, and the balance-sheet showed a balance of £4O Is lid. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr E. J. Ross (reelected) ; vice-presidents. Messrs C Matheson (Southland), ' P. Carolin (Otago), M. Amos (Ashburton), G. R. Burns (Timaru), M. A. Sowman (Picton), J. H. Hopkins (Granity); Council, Messrs H. Beardsley, G. E. Jeffreys and A. B. Menzies; secretary nnd treasurer, Mr J. H. Shaw: honorarv auditor, Mr V. Bedwell. Tlio championship show for 1914 was allotted to Christchurch.
