Arrivals in the city this •morning include Mr P J. o'Regan (Wellington), Mr and Mrs Voigt (Stockholm), Captain B. Head (London), Mr L. 11. Maddison (Auckland) and Mr M'Ennaly (Sydney). On "Wednesday evening a large number of Upper Riccarton residents met in the Oddfellows' Hall to bid good-bye to Mr and Mrs Chase, of the Bush Inn Hotel, on the eve of thoir departure for Svdnev on an extended holiday. Mr Witty". M.P., in a very happy speech, proposed the health of the guests of the evening, eulogising their many good qualities which had gained, the respect of all ill the district. During the evening Mr Newnhani. the chairman, 011 behalf of the residents, presented a case of pipes to Mr Chaso and a handsome handbag to Mrs Chase.
