SHORTAGE OF SHIPS FOR AUSTRALIA. United Press Association—By Elocfcrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received November 9, 12.20 p.m.) LONDONj November 8. A deputation of leading emigration agents in Great Britain complained to Sir G. H. Reid of their inability to find shipping accommodation for all iho emigrants offering. Many of those accepted bad given up farms and situations and were unable to get away. The Agents-General had done everything to secure additional space. Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia were not accepting mor until those on band had been shipped. Tho deputation urged that if further ships were unavailable Sir (4. H. Reid should stop advertising. Ho refused to do this on the ground -that the matter came within the province of tho Agents-General, but bo promised to see if anything could be done.
