Messrs H. F. Luers (Oxford), A. A. Marsden and S. Kennon (Melbourne) and Mr and Mrs W. H. Montgomery (Little River) arrived in Christ-church to-day. Cable advice has ( been received in Dnnedin that the son of Mr Alfred Isaacs, of that city, has gained a subprofessorship at the Royal Academy, Londou, aiid also the M'Larren Scholarship, tenable for three years, besides a Frederick Wcstlake Scholarship.
