, AN EYE GOUGED OUT. TRANSPORT IN THE BACKBLOCKS [Pisa Pbess Association.] • WESTPORT, August 4. A shocking mishap occurred at Karamea. Michael Clancy, in company with another man, was" crossing a "paddock in which there was a bull, when the beast charged. Before he could reach the fenco, Clancy was caught and the bull gored him, 'gouging out one of his eyes. Clancy is being carried thirty milee over a rough track to Seddohville to connect with the train for Westport.
