The entries were of ordinary dimensions, there being good entries of .all classes of stock. The yarding of fat sheep was somewhat larger tiian that of the previous week, and the fat iamb pens included' the first of the current season's lambs, sent forward, no doubt, in anticipation of tho Grand National race meeting. Fat Cattle.—Two hundred and eighty-one head of fat cattle were penned, including some of the best beef seen tab the Addington yards for a considerable time, and there was a keen demand for the best classes, prices being on a par with those ruling at the previous sale. A very fine bullock, which had secured numerous awards at agricultural shows both in Canterbury and Otago, sent forward by Messrs W. 15. Clarkson and Sons, changed hands at £2l 15s, while an unusually large number were sold at prices above £l6. Steers realised £7 10s to £ll 3.2s 6d, extra to £2l 16s, heifers £5 5s to £0 ss, extra to £ll ss, aud cows £5 2s 6d to £9 2s (3d,, extra to £l2 15s. Beef realised from 20s to 28s per 1001b, according to quality. Some, of the principal eales were:—For "NV. B. Craw (Chorlton), 2 steers at £9 7s 6d to £l3 10s; Hight Bros (Brookskle), 2 heifers at £5 15s to £7 15s, 2 cows at £lO 5s to £lO 10s; F. E. Fairweather (Cust), 2 steers at £0 10s; C. D. Fox (Scargill), 1 cow at £7 12s Od; J. Moir (Styx), 2 cows at £8 2s Gd and £8 12s 6d; J. Deans (Riccarton), 1 cow at £11; W. F. Parkinson (Ataahua), 2 steers at £ls 5s and £'l6 10s, 1 cow at £7 2s 6d; J. W, Mathers (Saltwater Creek),. 9 steers at £lO 15s to £l3 7s 6d; A. J. Birdling (Halswell), 1 steer at £l6, .1 heifer at £11; Miss Cordy (Ooalgato), 7 steers at £lO 5s to £l2 10s; It. L. Stead (Braekonfiekl), 1 cow at £9: Leeston client, 14 steers at xl 3 to £l7.

A^alem.—-There was a medium yarding of fat calves, which, met with the customary demand, representative prices ranging from 4s 6d to £3 2s 6d, according to age and condition. Daijiy Cows. —Only a limited number of dairy cows were offered, mostly of a useful class. The bidding was free, and prices ranged from £3 10s to £9 2s 6d.

Fax SiteHp.—The yarding of fat sheep was much larger than the previous week, and the sale opened welh prices being very firm <it last week's prices. Exporters operated, and took a number ot lilies. The yardifio- included, some exceptionally good sheep, notably those sent forward by Mr P. Bull, of Waddingtou. Three- years ago Mr Bull scored an Australasian record for fat sheep, obtaining £3 17s for a Hue, but to-day the price Was exceeded by 6d, Mr Bull obtaining £3 17s 6cf for four-tooth Shropshires, while the same breeder's two-tooth Shropshires made 365. Fat Lambs,—The yarding numbered 590 head, including 15 new season's laiuhs. There was a good demand for all classes, aild export buyers secured 452, butchers 115, while 23 were passed. Prices ranged from 12s 3d to 17s 6d, heavy tegs making 17s lid to 21s 9d. New season's lambs made 12s 6<l to 20s Gel.

Store Sheep.—The yarding was a large one, and with the exception, of a pen of wethers, Avas composed of ewes and hoggets. The last-named were of a varied class, from small to very good, a few pons being .specially good. The demand was firm at last week's prices, good wether hoggets selling at 12s to 13s, extra making to 14s 3d. medium lis to lis Gd, small 8s Id to 10s 6d, mixed sexes lis to 12s lOd, good ewo hoggets los od to lGs Id, others 13s Id to 13s 9d. The ewes were of a moderate class, and there wass a good, all-round demand, nearly all ewes being sold. Two-tooth sorts made 15s 2d to 15s sd, six and eight-tooth 14s 9d to 16s 4d, srood souhd-tnoutb sorts 12s 6d to 14s lOd, aged 9s <M to 10s 8d and cnlls 5s 7d. Wethers made 12s Gd, for poor sorts, to 15s 4<l Pigs.—There was a fair yarding and an average demand, prices showing no change* Choppers made to £o, heiivy baconers 46s to nOs, and lighter 37s to 445, equal to 4d per lb. A pood line froni Mr J. Grigg (Longbeach) made 55s to 60s. Hoary porkers made 30s to 365, and lighter 25s to 2fts, ecnial to 14 A ' in 4|d per lb,'
