PERSONAL.
Messrs R. Callaghftii (pimedin), A. A. Fairbairn (Dunedin), W. H. St J. Lyons (Auckland), C. W. Tanner (Auckland) and J. Dunlop (Dunedm) arrived in Christchurch this morning. The chairman of the North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, Mr F. Horrell, referred at this afternoon's meeting of the Board to the death of Mrs Valiutine, the wife of Dr J. M. A. Valintino, Inspector-General of Hospitals. On his motion, it was decided that a lettef exprosfimg the Board's sympathy with Dr Valintino should be "sent.
