TO-DAY'S MARKETS.

LAND SALES. There was a good attendance at Messrs Pyne- and Co.'s rooms to-day, when several properties were submitted. In conjunction with Messrs Goxtld, Beaumont and Co., tho auctioneers sold on account of Mrs M. C. S. Smith, England, a farm of 217 acres at Leoston, at £2O per acre, to Mr J. Gilbert, the present losseo. On account of the trustees of the lato Mr H. D. Gardiner, a block of land at Irwell was submitted in five lots. Lot 1, of 48 acres, was sold to Mr Henry Bonnet at £2O per acre; lots 2 and 3, of 60A acres each, were sold to Mr Hislop at £37 per acre; lot 4, comprising 48 acres, was sold to Mr Hislop at £4O 10s per acre; lot o, of 95£ acres, was purchased by Mr Herbert Gardiner, at £33 per acre. Mr Page's farm of 331 acres, at EUesmere, was passed in at £3l per acre. HORSE SALES. Ihere was an entry of 70 horses at to-days sales. Draughts brought uo to £2O, harness horses from £l2 to £25; and hacks from £5 to £lO. An unbroken two-year-old filly by Prince Imperial brought £35. ™FF ND VEGETABLES. L.he following are to-day's quotations for fruit and vegetables:—Lemons, Italian 22s 6d per caseoranges, Frisco 16s to 17s per easej pines /s 6d to 9s 6d per case, tomatoes to Id per lb, cucumbers to 2s per box, grapes 7d to 8d per lb, peaches 3d per Jb, apples, choice 4s Ck\ to 5s 6d per case, pears, dessert 3s 6d per case, walnuts to 3d per lb, cauliflowers to 2s 9d per doz, cabbages to le 6d per doz, potatoes to Gs per cwt, onions to 4s per cwt.
