Lord Mount Stephen has placed £60,000 in trust to encourage the send' ing of Barnardo boys and girls to Canada. THE FRENCH FLOODS. The Mansion House Fund for the relief of the sufferers by the French floods amounts to £64,500. THE ASTOR DIVORCE. The ''Daily Mail" states that Mrs J. J. Astor will ob.tain a decree absolute on Friday. Mr Astor has agreed to make her an allowance of £BOOO per annum. BRAZIL. Marshal Serines Fonseca has been elected President of Brazil by a majority of 50,000.
