HOCKEY.

ADDINGTON OLUB. The ninth annual meeting of the Addington Hockey Club was held last evening, Mr J. H. Jones presiding over a large attendance of members. The ooinmittee's report showed that there had been a falling-off in the membership, and there were only eeventyeight names on the roll as against ninety during the previous year, but that otherwise the club was in a flourishing condition. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £1 6s Bd. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr H. G. Ell, M.P.; president, Mr J. H. Jones; vice-presid-ents, Messrs -W. J. Gillies, J. Maweon Stewart and A. W. Rankin; honorary secretary, Mr R. Browning; captain, Mr P. N. Rundle; vice-captain, Mr G. Hunter; honorary treasurer, Mr W. Rogers; committee, lueesrs A. Stewart, F. Pearce, W. T. Doig, J. Anderson and W. 0. Biahop; delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr W. Rogera; delegates to Canterbury Hockey Association, Messrs W. T. Doig, A. Stewart and P. N. Rundle; honorary auditor, Mr A. Stewart. The fixing of the opening day was left in the hands of the committee. On the motion of Mr C. P. Agar, it was decided, after a long discussion, to instruot delegates to the Association to do everything in their power to have the Association's rules altered eo that both sides could call witnesses in any inquiry.
