SHIELD COMPETITION. The matches were Burnham v. Christchurch B, at Burnham ; Christchurcli A. v. Sydenham A, at South Park; and Celtic v. Sydenham B, at South Park). CHRISTCHURCH A. v. SYDENHAM A. This game resulted in a win for Christchurch by four goals to nil. The game was very fast throughout. The first half ended Christchurch two goals, Sydenham. nil, and in the second half Christchurch scored twice. Mr Thornton was referee. CELTIC v. SYDENHAM B. This match resulted in a win for Celtic by one goaLJa5 -I nil, after a very close and exciting game.
