AUSTRALIAN RULES.
Carlton beat St Albans at the South Park, the final scores being nine goals six behinds (sixty-two points) to five goals four behinds (thirty-four points). At St Albans Park Imperials scored an easy victory over Wanderers, winning by fifty-seven points to ten. Among the Imperials Paisley, Bunbury, Cox and Tolcher were prominent, and for the Wanderers W. Williams, Hanson, Barnes and Simpson. Mr D. Palmer umpired. The New Zealand representative team wiir leave Auckland on Monday for Melbourne, via Sydney, to compete in the jubilee championship tournament in Melbourne and to tour Australia. The following have been selected from Canterbury: — West, Porter, Dempster, Wright, Fisher, Ross, Wilkins and Smith. Mr A. Tucker will accompany the team as delegate to the Australasian conference.
