The golden eagle is possessed' of such strength that it can lift' and carry off with ease a weight of 801b. An extraordinary addition has been made to the exhibition of inventions now being held in Berlin. A shoemaker named Wegner. living in Strasburg, has sent in a clock of tike grandfather shape, nearly 6ft high, made entirely of straw. The wheels, pointers, case, and every detail is exclusively of straw. Werner has taken fifteen years to construct this strange piece of mechanism. It keeps perfect time, but under the most favourable circumstance© cannot last longer than two years.
