The percentage of mah~ who vot-ed was 59.36, and of females 44.94. THE STEAMER AIRLIE. ' BRISBANE, January 19. The Airlie's afterhold is full of water. THE SUGAR PLANTATIONS. There is a great shortage of labour in the northern sugar fields. An expert states that weeds are flourishing in the fields. He predicts a shortage of from 40,000 to 50,000 tons next crushing season.
