FAT BOY WINS RACE.

A WONDERFUL SPRINT. The spectators at the music hall sports, held at Heme Hill, a suburb of London, recently, gasped with mingled surprise and delight when Johnny Trundley, the farfamed Fat Boy of Peckham, and "Little Dando " went to the starting post to compete in an 00yds race for a silver cup. The Pride of Peckham vras conceding Dando, who is an artist of comparatively mature years, and is blest with a numerous family, 40yds start. Both were attired in orthodox racing costumes, bufc while that of Johnny had a stretched appearance, Dando's garments fluttered breezily about his leaner limbs. The general opinion seemed to be that it was any odds on the dwarf, bufc a few farseeing folk who argued that if Johnny once got under way he must of necessity gain increasing velocity were of a contrary opinion. At the crack of the pistol Johnny rolled away in great style, and in spite" of the frantic efforts of bis dwarfish opponent thundered past the winning post a winner by a good yard, amid shouts of laughter.
