TFrom Our Correspondent.] DUNEDIN, June 10. The death of Mr George Roberts, at the early age of thirty-one, is universally regretted in commercial circles. The deceased, who had attained a responsible position in the firm of Messrs Murray, Roberts and C 0.,. held "office mst year as president of the rOtago Agricultural and- Pastoral Society. On Wednesday last he underwent an operation for appendicitis. Up to Saturday he seemed to be doing well, but complications, in the shape of heart and kidney troubles, appeared, and. he gradually Eank. He married a daughter of Mr G. P. Farquhir, of the firm of Messrs Michnelis, Hallenstein and Faxquhar, and leaves a widow and one child. ■ Another old identity has passed away, in the person of Mrs Donald Grant, of Outram, who arrived in Dunodin in the ship i Sform Cloud in May, 1861.
